In Pearl diver you are a diver looking for pearls at the bottom of the sea. While this may sound nice, it is not as safe as you may think as Sharks, Rocks and other dangers are lurking in the depths of the ocean, just waiting for a tasty diver like yourself.
At the start of this well designed game, you find yourself on a small boat and just about to dive into the depths of the ocean looking for those shiny pearls. In order to fill up the tanks with air, you need to press the left and right arrow buttons of your keyboard as fast as you can.
Once filled up press space to dive and from there you are entering the underwater world, where danger lurks behind every rock and corner.
At the bottom of the ocean you will find the seashells containing the pearls, and pressing the spacebar allows you to pick them up. In the mean time you better watch out for hitting rocks, and keep in mind that these waters are shark infested! In order to be able to come back up you will have to collect a minimum amount of pearls before the air runs out. In case this happens before you reach the minimum amount of pearls, you drown and the game is over, but even if you have collected enough pearls, you need to make it back to the dive line in time, because that is the only spot where you can swim up to the surface.
Pearl diver is a good looking and smooth playing game, which requires fast reflexes as well as strategic insight, in order to collect the pearls, avoiding the dangers and making it back in time before the air runs out.
